Salem Housing Authority Will Be Under Software Conversion

Salem Housing Authority is upgrading the software and database system it uses to store and process data. This upgrade will allow for more accurate and efficient reporting, better data integrity, and faster processing of client transactions.

This move will give us the flexibility to adapt to the growing mobile work force and provide our staff the tools to be more efficient as they find themselves outside of the typical office environment in the field.

Our goal is to decrease both the time and effort required by our staff for day-to-day operations as well as minimize the turn-around time to address our participants needs.

Please be mindful that there may be a delay in our response as many departments will be out of the office to learn the new software. Staff will continue to monitor messages in between trainings and do their best to respond as soon as they are able to.

We understand the inconvenience this may cause. However, we believe this upgrade will allow us to serve clients more effectively in the future. We appreciate your patience through this transition.

Dates to remember:
During the week of November 6th– 9th and November 27th – 30th, 2023, Salem Housing Authority will be undergoing a software conversion and staff training.  

November Office Closures are as follows:

Main Office: November 6th, November 10th, November 23rd, and November 24th

Property Management offices: November 6th-10th, November 23rd, 24th, 27th, and November 28th.

SHA will be transitioning to a single mid-month check-run (instead of multiple check-runs throughout the month) beginning 1/1/2024 and checks will be processed on the 1st and around the 15th of each month beginning 2024.

No check runs for the week of Thanksgiving due to the holiday.

Adjusted check runs: November 28th – December HAP Payments (due to software conversion)

No check run week of December 4th due to software conversion.

Check run on December 28th will include January HAP.
